Instruction on how to pair up a RFID proximity card

Instruction on how to pair up a RFID proximity card (contactless card according to ISO/IEC 14443 standard, in particular MIFARE Classic 1k 4b nUID) with MEVO System User Account

RFID card may be an identifier of Client Account in MEVO System and facilitate the process of bike rental for you. There are three methods of pairing up a card with User Account:

  1. through RFID card reader by the bike,
  2. through MEVO Application,
  3. through the website www.rowermevo.pl.

Re 1.

In order to pair a RFID card up with Client Account through the reader located by the bike, the User must have an open bike rental on their Account.

The Client should apply a RFID card to the reader located on the back mudguard of the rented bike.

The card will be connected with the Account. All further rentals may now take place through placing  the card which has been paired up with the Account  to the RFID reader of the bike.

Re 2.

Pairing up any contactless card in accordance with the ISO/IEC standard 14443 through MEVO Application may occur when the User knowns UID of his card. In case of a resident card “jestem z GDAŃSKA” the card number is a UID at the same time. The User must be logging into the Account within the Application.

The Client should select “Karta mieszkańca” (Resident card) from the menu.

Within the field “Enter number” the User should enter UID of his RFID card and click “Continue”.

The card will be paired up with the Account, its UID will be displayed. Subsequent rentals may occur after applying the card now paired up with the Account to RFID reader on the bike.

If a User does not remember UID of their card, it may also be connected through the MEVO Mobile Application. The Client must be logged in to MEVO Application and have an active bike rental on their Account. Then, the Client should select “Proximity Card” from the menu.

Afterwards, the option of “Use RFID reader on the bike” should be selected in the application and RFID card should be placed on the reader, located on the rear mudguard of the rented bike.

Message will appear about successful adding of the card and its UID will be visible within the “Proximity card” tab.

Re 3.

In case of a resident card “jestem z GDAŃSKA” the card number is a UID at the same time. The User ought to be logged into the Account.

“RFID card” should be selected from the menu.

Within the field “Enter number” the User should enter UID of his RFID card and click “Continue”.

The card will be paired up with the Account, its UID will be displayed. Subsequent rentals may occur after applying the card now paired up with the Account to RFID reader on the bike.
